Money

Have you ever noticed how the wealthiest people tend to be the most psychologically damaged or unhappy (well those that grace our TV screens and gossip material anyway). I'm sure everyone has had that passing moment where they wished they were rich beyond reason, because someone, somewhere once said that money is happiness. But regardless money is still an issue wherever you turn, problems arise where before there was blissful peace.

War begins when people are so money obsessed that their life revolves around that fabled "American Dream" that you can do anything and be anyone no matter the consequences. I agree with the sentiment but minus the lack of a conscience, because how wonderful would life be if you could be whoever you wanted to be, but it's definatelty a lot more complicated than that, hard work is key and nothing is achieved without a little blood, sweat and tears.

Money, money, money that's all people around me are thinking about, and they think that anyone with money is superior but at the end of the day we are all diamonds. Literally, when we die if we are cremated and then put the under perfect conditions our ashes will form a diamond.  A rough, dirty, uncut one but a diamond nonetheless. This proves that in life we are all made of the same material so what makes money power?? You can't buy friendship, you can't buy love.. But you can however buy possessions. If you want to draw people in and own them as if they were possessions then you won't get any real emotions, what you do get is bound to fall apart at the seams. But that is a topic for another day. Now I'm not saying with money you are unable to have anything else in life but at the same time you can't have the lot.

Although I know for a fact money isn't everything not having it doesn't help with everyday concerns. Recently I have gone through my second laser removal surgery, for what; well you can come up with your assumptions on that matter because I really couldn't care less. But aside from the unbearable pain and soreness I'm still feeling after a week, what seems to be annoying me more is the deep hole it is searing into my pockets. I work hard to earn the money I have and I try hard not to be wasteful yet due to circumstances beyond my control I'm spending more money than I have causing me to fall into the trap of believing that maybe life would be simpler if Sims cheats worked in real life.

There's a religious book somewhere, I think the bible, that's states 'money is the root of all evil' which I believe. But Lil Wayne says that 'not having money is the root of all evil' which I also believe, it's a slightly confusing situation not knowing which view stands out more predominately in your own head. I guess money and all its delusions sustain us, help project us towards an achievable goal a lot like Christian Bovee's belief that 'no man is happy without a delusion of some kind. Delusions are as necessary to our happiness as realities.'
