Life On The Moon

Recently I came across this Japanese proverb:

With a friend at your side no road seems to long

And it got me really thinking that no matter how far off the road a person can fall or how run-down they can seem, the most precious gift that can be afforded to them is a friend. So many things can change- where you live, the people you know, the places you've seen but the memories stay the same, fair enough you add to them every day but memories follow you wherever you go and whatever you do.
My journey so far has taught me that more than the memories what you need most are friends that are willing to walk alongside you no matter how long the journey or how confusing the emotions and experiences. No matter where I'm living or how long I've been separated there are just some people that you can stay close no matter the circumstance.

I want to share some lyrics with you from an artist called David Cook;

Here in this crowd I'm feeling all alone
Turn me around and point me back to home
I'm getting lost more everyday
And I can't tear myself away
From the stars in my eyes with no light
Life on the moon could it be that stranger?
Life on the moon would it feel this far away?
The life that I knew is through
And I'm gonna need you more than ever
I'm alone in this crowded room
Flown off the ground my head's up in the air
Self consciouos to the fault with all the pople everywhere
It's getting harder everynight to take the punches left and right
Just to know that you are here by my side
Getting lost in my own atmosphere
Stars in the sky all the stars in my eyes
It's the cost of getting out of here alive

So in the end the Japanese turned out to be right, and now I'm stuck with the choices I have made, both good and bad, both I have to deal with.

I officially start school on the 24th Nov 2009, and to be honest I am terribly scared... I am a year behind because King Alfreds started their GSCE's in year 9 so I have a lot to catch up on! The school splits itself into three bands top, middle and bottom. They said I am in the top band, and now I'm wondering how long I will stay there for?
I have my uniform and my planner all I need now is some friends and my lesson plan. I have a few steps to take, and am uncertain which I should lead with, the left or the right?
